Bambusa Multiplex "Riviereorum"

This shorter bamboo has solid culms for its height, with tiny leaves giving it a showy appearance.  It has a high density of culms which tend to arch out some providing a wide shorter screen for privacy.

Bottom line: A great choice for a shorter screen.

Khasia

Khasia

Drepanostachyum Khasianum

This clumping bamboo originates in the Himalayas and is also known as Himalayan Weeping or Purple Jade.   It's quite an ornamental bamboo due to its culm weeping, large leaves relative to its size, and a slight purplish tint on the internodes.  It can appear struggle a little during the summer with our heat if in full sun.  The leaves will curl closed, but open again when out of direct sunlight.   Please note that Khasia pictured is not quite a year old.

Bottom line: A beautiful focal point, and also a great choice for a container bamboo.

This bamboo is similar to Golden Goddess, only a little shorter and possibly slightly more upright in growth.  It also is fast growing with a high density of culms, which makes an excellent hedge.

Bottom line: A great choice for a shorter hedge.

Tiny Fern

Tiny Fern

Bambusa Multiplex "Tiny Fern"

This dwarf bamboo will stay short in height, usually around 3 feet tall, but can  reach up to 5 feet or slightly more in height depending on growing conditions. It has small culms (1/8 inch) and is a fast dense grower, which lends itself to being easily shaped.

Bottom line: A very nice small and easily shapeable tropical looking shrub.
